Custom Cable Assemblies

For safety reasons, when ordering cable assemblies, make sure to consider...

  • Maximum Load
  • Material to be Lifted or Handled
  • Condition of Material
  • Lifting Attachments
  • Dimensions of the Load
  • Distribution of Load Weight
  • Number of Sling Legs Required

Do not exceed work load limit or 20% of the product's break strength.

There are four common types of assemblies; A two-leg, three-leg and a four-leg. The legs are connected by an alloy oblong link. There is also a one-leg cable sling having only a thimble on one end and a hook on the other. The most common ends are a Thimble & Hook but are also available in a Plain Thimble (as shown below). As these assemblies are made up special for your specific job, make sure you have all the needed dimensions.

Common Leg Ends for Cable Assemblies
Standard 'Hook & Thimble'

This can also be ordered and used separately as a One-Leg Cable Sling.

Also available in just a thimble without the hook.

* Rated Capacities for unprotected eyes apply only when attachment is made over an object narrower than the natural width of the eye, and apply for basket hitches only when the D/d ratio is 20 or greater, where D=diameter of curvature around which the body of the sling is bent, and d=nominal diameter of the rope.
